Frequently asked questions

Do tenants pay anything?
No. Homelinker is free for tenants: the profile, the documents, the tracking and the reuse on the next link.
Which documents are asked before the viewing?
The agency decides for each listing. By default nothing: the tenant answers a one-minute profile. The agency can ask for the Emirates ID before the viewing, and for an office the company trade licence as well. The rest of the file comes after the viewing.
Does it work for offices and shops?
Yes. Choose commercial when you create the listing. The link then asks for the company trade licence, the memorandum of association, the company bank statement and the passport and Emirates ID of the signatory. You can add any other document you need.
How do we send the file to the landlord?
In one PDF. Homelinker compiles the documents the tenant uploaded one by one into a single bundle, with a cover page, an index and the agency watermark. Download it from the candidate sheet or the landlord pack.
Does it work outside Dubai?
Yes, in all seven emirates. Each listing belongs to an emirate: the link shows the right permit and the landlord pack uses the right registration, Ejari in Dubai, Tawtheeq in Abu Dhabi and the municipality in the other emirates.
We have offices in several emirates. Do we need several accounts?
No. One agency account covers every branch. Each listing is created in its emirate and the whole team works from the same dashboard.
Where is tenant data stored?
On servers in the UAE, under the UAE Personal Data Protection Law. Documents open only through the application, for the agency the tenant chose.
Do you register the tenancy contract?
No. The landlord pack gathers what the tenant provides and lists what the landlord adds, so the registration on Ejari or Tawtheeq goes quickly.
What happens when an agent leaves?
The manager deactivates the account. Listings, profiles and conversations stay with the agency.
How is tenant data deleted?
The tenant can withdraw an application or delete the account at any time. Agencies set a retention period after a listing closes. Each deletion is recorded.
